Dixie J. Lindeman, 75, of Gwinn died Monday afternoon, June 6, 2022 at UP Health System-Marquette.

She was born September 1, 1946, in Oakland City, Indiana, a daughter of the late Charles and Wilma (Daugherty) Marsh. She attended and was a 1964 graduate of Northeast High School in Pinellas Park, Florida.

On May 20, 1967 she married Orval O. "Oakie" Lindeman on Orlando AFB and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2017.

Dixie worked her entire adult life as a beautician. She managed the Dome Beauty Salon in Sands Township and worked at Touch of Class Salon before opening Hair Designs By Dixie, which she owned and operated from 1987 until her retirement in 2019.

She was an artistic person who loved her flowers, lighthouses, reading and puzzles.

Dixie is survived by two daughters, Becky Lindeman Keskimaki and Peggy Lindeman, both of Gwinn; siblings, Rebecca (Dennis) Welch of Evansville, IN, Marlys Stock of Clearwater, FL, Charles (Cathy) Marsh of Springville, TN and Rex Marsh of Tampa, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Lucinda Bartz.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 12 Noon to 1:30 pm at Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 in the funeral home with Rev. Rell Spickerman officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the Lindeman Reception Room located within the funeral home.
