An environmentally friendly option

Y Yvonne Whitman September 20, 2021

CandleI was the BLP Christmas Lighting Contest Coordinator for many years and through that I got to know Dave (and Gary). Each year I was amazed at the work they did to create their wonderful display that brought joy to so many people - especially children - in the Marquette area. Creating a display the size of theirs took many hours of (selfless) work - usually in frigid temps - yet they made it bigger and better every year. They were very deserving of their first place finishes. Dave was always humble and it was evident to me that he was not creating the display for any other reason than to bring some holiday joy to the community. My sincere condolences to the Bolduc family. He was a good man.

My deepest condolences to David's family! David and I spent countless hours together when we were youngsters. My parents Russell and Viola would play cards on a regular basis with Art and Millie and David and I would find ways to entertain ourselves like playing cowboys or army or board games, etc. David had such a great personality and I was proud to be his friend! His father Art built a hunting camp right next to ours and we would see each other when we were out there. Then, my career pursuits took me away from Marquette and we no longer had the opportunity to get together. My message to David's children and grandchildren is that David was a special person and a very loyal friend. He loved fishing and hunting and spent countless hours pursuing them. I'm sure David is resting in peace and looking down on all of us with love. Denny Ward
