To Joe's extended family,

I am sad to the bone today.

I worked for Flanigan's for many summers during my college days. Joe was the office manager when I started, and eventually, owner.

It was fun to work for and with him. He stood then, and will always be, the best boss I've ever had.

He was humble, hard working, and honest. With a great sense of humor, all the guys enjoyed the camaraderie of those days and working hard for him.

I encourage all (Mayflower) truck drivers far and wide to throttle down for a few moments and then on the road to the next stop, 3 blasts on your air horns for a great man.

Margaret and family,
Mindy and I would like to extend our condolences on Joe’s passing. I always enjoyed Joe’s story’s about My grandparent’s I never had the privilege of knowing, about the family business etc. Being one of the oldest cousins, we lovingly referred to him as “ uncle Joe” he was a connection to an earlier era and will be dearly missed. God bless
