Linda S. Lovern
October 19, 1950 - November 11, 2001
Linda S. Lovern, 51, of 115 S. Marigold Street, Ishpeming, died Sunday afternoon at Marquette General Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Lovern was born on October 19, 1950 in Marquette to the late Roy B. and Ruth I. (Desmond) LHuillier. She was a 1968 graduate of Marquette Senior High School and a lifelong resident of this area. At the time of her death, Linda was employed by Northern Michigan University.
Linda loved life. She saw beauty in everything and everyone. Linda enjoyed morning coffee by the river watching the sunrise and the deer eat. She was an angel on earth, living each day with great passion. She believed in the beauty of the first snow, the magnificent lakes, the trees and flowers and the clouds in the sky. While relaxing in her hot tub, soaking in the sun, she would listen to the birds and watch them play in the water fountain.
Linda was filled with kindness and generosity, always giving of herself, especially if it was a bargain. She loved all the holidays. Her home would transform into a magical place with decorations in every nook and cranny. Each month would bring about a new theme, as the seasons changed, so would her home. Linda loved to celebrate life. She was the hub of our family wheel, always planning; preparing for a new celebration, keeping us grounded and focused on living in the moment. Linda will continue to live on in all of our hearts. Life is about memories and moments in time, cherished forever.
Linda leaves her loving husband, John, whom she married on August 1, 1983 in Duluth, Minnesota; three cherished children, Deanna (Andrew) Borsheim of Milwaukee, Dennis (Sara) VanAbel of Negaunee and Eric Lovern (Alyssa Patrick) of Ishpeming; two granddaughters, McKenna VanAbel and Darian Patrick; two dear brothers, LeRoy (Janis) LHuillier and Sam (Kathy) LHuillier, both of Marquette; also one dear sister, Mary (Gary) Easterling of Jackson, MS; also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home in Marquette on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. where a celebration of Lindas life will take place at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
