Rose Marie (Melka) Titter, 77, of Marquette, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her home in the loving care of her husband and the caregivers of Lake Superior Hospice.

She was born on September 20, 1940 in Marquette to Albert and Cecilia (Amell) Melka. Rose met and married the love of her life, Ron on September 30, 1961 and they enjoyed 56 years of life together.

Rose traveled with her husband to many different states and the country of Panama while he was in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his retirement, she and the family moved back to Marquette in 1980.

Rose went to work at Shopko in 1985 and retired in 2008. Rose loved going to Florida. After her retirement, she wintered in Homosassa Spring, Florida for the past six years. She met many friends on the golf course. Rose would spend much time playing golf with her husband if weather permitted.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald P. Titter of Marquette; son, Michael A. (friend, Gena) Titter of Nashville, TN and daughter, Michelle Ann (Tommy) Cox of Mosinee, WI along with their children, Dominique, Noah, Isaiah and Violet; also two brothers, Fred and Larry Melka of Negaunee. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Mary Lou, William “Bill,” Helen, Joe, Marge and Robert “Bob.”

There will be a celebration of Rose’s life on Tuesday, December 19th from 3 to 6 p.m. at American Legion Post #44, 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are kindly asked to consider American Legion Post #44 Ladies Auxiliary to benefit youth programs, 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette, MI 49855.
