There are condolences waiting approval on LARRY's Tribute wall

Larry Walter Lykins, 75, of Gwinn, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

He was born November 3, 1942 in Brandenburg, Kentucky a son of the late Dewey W. and Norma (Cilley) Lykins. He was raised in New Jersey and moved to Detroit where he worked as a transporter for automobile sales companies. Following his retirement, he relocated to Gwinn.

Larry married Connie Duvall in Marquette on March 7, 2008.

He enjoyed rebuilding and fixing bikes and other items and reselling them and time with his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife, Connie Lykins of Gwinn; 6 children, Rose Marie (Tommy Prather) Duvall of Gwinn, Loretta Lynn (Norman)Randall of Ecorse, MI, Leona Ann Duvall of Gwinn, Norma (Adam) Sapikowski of Gwinn, Billie Duvall of Gwinn and Christopher (Lacey Smith) Lykins of Escanaba; sisters, Vicki Pearce of Arizona, Bridget of California, Norma and Renee Cilley, both of California; aunt, Betty Hendrickson of Arizona; 17 grandchildren, Dewey, Teddy, Courtney, Nicole, Richard, Joshua, Presley, Nicolas, Joseph, Savanna, Seth, Cloe, Bret, Christopher, Abigail, Sebastian and Randy; great-grandchildren, Chase, Chasidy, Trevor and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Myron, Jerry Lee and Dennis.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Gwinn United Methodist Church with Rev. Kristy Hintz officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
